A Generalization on the Difference Between an Integer and Its Inverse Modulo Q

The main purpose of this paper is to use the properties of the Gauss sums, primitive characters and the mean value of Dirichlet L-functions to study the hybrid mean value of the error term E（n, l, c, q） and the hyper-Kloosterman sums K（h,n＋1,q）, the asymptotic property of the mean square value ∑^p c=1 E^2（n, 1, c, p）, and give two interesting mean value formulae.

In this paper, we give the central limit theorem and almost sure central limit theorem for products of some partial sums of independent identically distributed random variables.     

On the discrepancy of uniformly distributed roots of quadratic congruences

In this paper we consider the distribution of fractional parts {ν/p}, where p is a prime less than or equal to x and ν is the root in Z/pZ of a quadratic polynomial with negative discriminant. This set is known to be uniformly distributed as x→∞. Here we apply the Erd?s-Turán inequality to obtain an estimate for the discrepancy.

Convergence of series of dependent φ-subgaussian random variables

The almost sure convergence of weighted sums of φ-subgaussian m-acceptable random variables is investigated. As corollaries, the main results are applied to the case of negatively dependent and m-dependent subgaussian random variables. Finally, an application to random Fourier series is presented.

Hitting Time and Dimension in Axiom A Systems, Generic Interval Exchanges and an Application to Birkoff Sums

In this note we prove that for equilibrium states of axiom A systems having positive dimension the time τ _B (x) needed for a typical point x to enter for the first time in a typical ball B with radius r behaves for small r as τ _B (x)∼ r ^−d where d is the local dimension of the invariant measure at the center of the ball. A similar relation is proved for a full measure set of interval exchanges. Some applications to Birkoff averages of unbounded (and not L ¹) functions are shown.     

An Improved Result in Almost Sure Central Limit Theory for Products of Partial Sums with Stable Distribution

Consider a sequence of i.i.d. positive random variables with the underlying distribution in the domain of attraction of a stable distribution with an exponent in (1, 2]. A universal result in the almost sure limit theorem for products of partial sums is established. Our results significantly generalize and improve those on the almost sure central limit theory previously obtained by Gonchigdanzan and Rempale and by Gonchigdanzan. In a sense, our results reach the optimal form.

本文研究了混合序列部分和的若干收敛性质.利用Serfling不等式推广情形,证明了一类随机变量序列部分和的一个收敛性结果,获得了混合序列部分和的收敛性,并进一步得到了混合序列加权和的强收敛性和完全收敛性,推广并改进了文[2]中有关结果.
